An old map was used as a base to create this new one: https://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=49068 It's not supposed to accurately represent the geography regarding mountains and woods. All that is added as an attempt to generate the most conflict fronts as possible and make this map difficult in fog war. The idea, of course, is to try to capture the center of the map... but because that should be everybody's goal, it's not gonna be easy... in theory, anyway. Two extra islands to generate more battles in the ocean and stuff. I created a copy of this map in my Advance Wars 2 and played a few times and it didn't seem so bad to me... but of course, the most important opinions here are yours. Any comments regarding balance and stuff? |

The thing is, spamming build on bases is meta when you play pvp, now imagine all the bases you have on the map, every turn at least infantry will come out of each bases. The abundance of mountain and that spamming tactics will make ground battle nearly impossible, else than indirect and mech. We will surely see alots of copter, but that won’t help you too much, since the unstoppable waves of infantry. |

Okay. I removed two of the extra bases, replaced the second lab that was a mistake for another communication tower, and reduced the number of mountains so there could be more space for ground battle. Is that good enough or?... |

I suggest also remove base and airport in the center, ports might be acceptable, the map should be played out fine im standard, too much forest and mountain for fog of war, but cheer, i think it’s deserved a Rank tag after you remove the base and airport mentioned above. |

Right. They got replaced by cities. |

After playing inside this map, I made some extra modifications. I moved the right island a little and changed the position of the intended green team airport to allow them to better try to capture said thing since the first time Red team was pretty much guaranteed to obtain the island.. I also added a new bridge and closed one of the conflict points with mountains to allow the red team to attempt to reach the center area more easily... since the red team and the blue team may be too focused on fighting each other on the top part, letting the green team take control of the lab without much opposition otherwise. This is also the reason why the second airport for the red team is more near to the center now. Some of these changes may not be visible yet though... Anyway, if you have more comments, please leave them here. |

Approached the left island a little more to GH to make sure it's easier for GH and BM to start fighting over it and moved the free base for GH a little more towards the center. I also removed the islands' communication towers in favor of cities. |

I think this map is very unbalanced. Green and Blue are twice as far from each other as they are from Red so this seems like it's very inclined to just become a 2v1 where Red has to fight both the others at the same time. |
RoBlueKiran321 (04/17/2025 09:34pm):
Gotta admit, in theory it looks like that but in practice it's not given all the stuff they want to fight for in the center. According to the analytics Red team has won 57 times, Blue 50, and Green 54 with 30 draws. |
