FTA, but overlooking that 9/10
jhuni (07/31/2006 01:08am):
FTA! and the center propertie make serious balance issues you could give 2 of the cities
close to the bases to a neatrul player to fix balance
catan (07/31/2006 01:23am):
what about rivers

jenkins (10/18/2006 07:30pm):
What about them?

am playing this map now, the huge amount of trees makes for very interesting FOW battles,
fun to play, its a 10 :D

yeah , good map, looks fun, but that central factory is way too much!!! the whole game
pivots on its capture... whoever gets it, wins! .... much better to put 2 nuetral properties (or if
you insist factories) on half way line at either side, giving more strategic choices. -- with a
centre factory like jhuni says your gonna exacerbate first turn advantage problems. With a
day 1 income of 11000 you need to give the 2nd player half that sum (ie 5000 or 6000 ) as
financial balance... and also something of strategic balance too (something useful early on)
perhaps an APC and an infantry or an artilery. Jhunis idea is quite neat i supose, if you
follow it.... it gives the 2nd player some extra funds and distracts part of the frst players
strategy, Good map.. worth fixing. Oh, 1 other problem which i heard about on other
maps....is you might get infantry spammated with so many factories.... in 10 days i could get
like 40 infantries spammed out clogging up the highways and the drains too. I dont have
experience with such high factory numbers.. maybe someone else can comment on this...or
just wait and see what happens in games. Nice one and good luck
